Welcome
The Bernoulli Center of the EPFL is hosting a six-month research program entitled "Wavelets and Applications". The main themes of the program are
- Wavelets and Approximation Theory
- Wavelets in Medicine and Biology
- Wavelets in Image Processing and Vision
The program consists of a series of research seminars during the semester, followed by a major international event (WavE 2006, July 10-14, 2006) with plenary speakers among the most prestigious scientists in the field.

Semester talks
During the summer semester March-June 2006, research seminars are organized at EPFL, every Thursday at 17h. The program can be consulted here.
WavE 2006
The semester's key event will take place from July 10-14, 2006 at the EPFL. Leading scientists have already accepted the invitation to give a plenary talk during this international event.
Call for Abstracts
Poster sessions will be organized during the event. Therefore, one-page abstract submissions are welcome. Additionally, a fellowship travel grant program is available to allow young researchers to attend the meeting. Please notice the early deadline for those wishing to apply for travel grants.
